Freelancers & Payoneer in FBR’s Crosshair

In what was termed as a mega scam, FBR estimates that billions of rupees earned by freelancer in the past few years have gone undeclared and untaxed.

These earnings were remitted to Pakistan via Payoneer and other similar services. Sources report that more than seventy thousand freelancers earned over 60 billion Rupees but did not report these earning as they are mostly unregistered or non-filers. these remittances were earned on the sale of different items and freelancer consultancy services.

FBR investigation revealed that 75,615 individuals found to have received funds, 45,012 were not registered with the tax authority. Another 17,985 had filed income tax returns but did not pay any tax and never showed any income from international remittances.
The remaining 12,618 individuals were registered with the FBR and had an NTN, but did not pay any tax or file their tax returns.

In collaboration with the Directorate General of International Taxes, the Commissioner Offshore Taxation, Islamabad initiated an investigation into the money/ income received by Pakistanis on account of provision of various freelancer consultancy services and sale of goods to various individual clients by using the Payoneer platform.

According to source, the FBR plans to send out bulk notices to citizens who are registered but do not file tax returns, as well as to those who have filed returns but have not reported taxable foreign income in Pakistan.

According to FBR sources, the total effect of the tax revenue is estimated to be more than Rs10 billion, which is convenient to levy and recover due to the definite nature of the details.

This will not only expand the revenue base, but it will also boost the country’s total tax-to-GDP ratio by bringing in real taxpayers with daily foreign income.

  1. Wah jee wah.. auqat khud ki 2 takay ki nahi aur apnay ko Switzerland se bhi uper samajh ke nakhray ker rahay hain. Swiss bank mein koi kahin se paisa daal de wo pochtay nahi kyokay mulk ko paisa milraha hai wahan se ja nahi raha. Inko milraha hai to akar dekho. Khud ki koi mehnat nahi, koi effort nahi bas bhatta chahiay

Ye jahil bajaey khush honay ke ke bahar se paisa araha hai, ulta sirf jo companies paisa bahar se bhaij rahi hoti hain unke rastay mein pangay letay hain. Pehlay hi dollar ke liay bheek mangtay phir rahay hain but asani se agar milraha hai to nakhray high horahay hain nalaiko ke.

Pk Government se bhi khud kuch hota nahi youth ke liay aur agar youth ko koi bahar se moqa miljata hai earning ka to usmay bhi haram ka hissa dalnay ajatay hain. Apko khush hona chahiay ke itna paisa bahar se apko milgaya warna apko to ab log bheek bhi dena pasand nahi kertay. Shame on FBR and Pk Government for doing such injustice.

Aur tax to aap sab cheez pe le rahay hain petrol se leker soap tak pe but sirf bahar mahal bananay ke liay ya ghost teachers hire kernay ke liay. Pk ki awam ko siwaey tension ke aap log kya detay hain jo besharmo ki tarha ajatay hain tax mangnay.

Ishi tarha apna koi internet hai nahi aur Skylink ne apni service offer ki to nakhray lag gaey ke itna tax aur paisa de to hum service chalanay deingay. Abay tumhari auqat kya hai. Kuch aata hai khud tum logo ko siwaey paisa marnay ke jo nakhray ker rahay ho tum log. Dosray mulk Skylink walo ke pechay phir rahay hain ke connection de de unko aur tum jahil akar dikha rahay ho. Khair tumhara kya jata hai… paisa agaya to corruption kerlogay nahi aaya to awam ka nuqsan hai tumhara kya.

Paypal walo ne tabhi shayad tum logo ke naak righarnay pe bhi apni service shuru nahi ki Pakistan mein ke tum Pk officials corrupt aur nalaik ho aur unke pas aisay falto logo ke liay time nahi hai. Afsoan aur sharam ki baat hai so kuch sharam karo aur welcome karo Payoneer ko ke usnay itnay dollars bhaijay Pk mein jo lana tumharay apnay bas ki baat nahi thi
